Kaiti and Adam's Wedding

Kaiti and Adam were married on a beautiful day in early June, on the front lawn of the Joseph Ambler Inn in front of their closest friends and family. Kaiti and her maids started the day relaxing with hair and makeup before getting dressed. Her bridesmaids wore navy blue Two Birds Bridesmaids dresses and had them tied in all different ways. Kaiti's dress was a stunning A-line gown with lace top and detachable skirt that she removed at the reception to reveal that it was a lace mini dress! The gown was accented with a navy blue belt. The couple saw each other for the first time as Kaiti walked down the aisle to her groom. The ceremony decor was kept simple with just buckets of babies breath lining the aisle and a table that was flanked with florals served as the altar. Their ceremony was sweet and personal and after they kissed and were showered with lavender that their guests tossed as they recessed down the aisle, they headed off to take some photos with their bridal party while guests headed to the gazebo for cocktail hour. In cocktail hour guests found their table assignments on adorable little lanterns that matched the nautical theme for the wedding. Inside of the ballroom we were adding all of the little touches that made their wedding unique! We replaced all of the artwork in the ballroom with art that Kaiti's mom had created. Each table had a different lantern and floral set up that was placed on top of burlap runners. Kaiti and Adam left no corner untouched with the nautical theme. They collected little pieces of decor and we placed all of it into the ballroom and the guests all took notice! Lighting was really important to Kaiti so the couple chose to have the room up lit in an amber, a wash was projected onto the dance floor and half of the ballroom was lit with G-40 string lights making it feel warm and inviting in the room. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner before cutting loose on the dance floor and this crowd was definitely a dancing group! When it came time for the night to end, we lined all of the guests up on the walkway for a sparkler send off leading to the after party- a great way to end such a wonderful night!

Congratulations Kaiti and Adam!

Teaser Tuesday

We had another fabulous weekend of weddings!  Fall is a perfect time to get married- see what we were up to this past Saturday!

Jackie and Chris are one of the most fun couples we've met- planning their big day was a breeze!  We used a ton of New Orleans themed touches in the decor to pay homage to the bride & groom's favorite city!  Our AMAZING band, 39 Mariner, kicked off the reception with a jazz funeral style processional from the cocktail tent into the ballroom!  It was a blast- a fantatic idea to start things off in a high-energy way!  Centerpieces by Bed of Roses featured magnoila leaves and springs of sage and looked lovely flanked by our mercury glass votives and stemmed floating candle trios.  The Rehoboth Beach Country Club served delicious hors d'oeuvres of shrimp & grits and desserts like beignets and pralines to keep the menu on point, and the whole sha-bang was captured by Rob Korb Photography!  We were so lucky to have Rob, Blonnie and Justin help us do this event justice!  Check out these awesome teasers below- thanks Rob!!  CONGRATS to Jackie and Chris- you got an unforgettable and beautful wedding day and I'm so beyond thrilled to have been a part of it!  -erin

Heidi and Dan got a beautiful fall day to celebrate their fairytale wedding.  They were married at St. Peter's in Merchantville and celebrated at Laurel Creek Country Club in Mount Laurel.  Two close-knit, loving families were joined together with a lot of food, laughter and fun.  The dance floor was kept busy thanks to Corrado of A1 Entertainment and Ron from Faith West Photography captured the day on film, while Andy of Faith West captured it on video. The beautiful flowers were done by MaryJane's Flowers and the girls looked amazing thanks to Louis Christian Wayne Robert Salon and Cheekadee.  A stunning bride, a very happy couple, thrilled families and perfect day - congratulations Heidi and Dan! I hope you have an amazing time on your Honeymoon! –Becky

What I Would Do Differently {Annemarie}

When my husband and I think back to our wedding day, November 26th, 2011, we remember our heartfelt ceremony, very tasty food, excellent music (the dance floor was packed the entire time), and beautiful weather. Overall, the entire day was executed exactly how we imagined it and our guests still talk about how much fun they had the entire night. We look at our pictures all the time and have a 24x36 canvas hanging in our living room with us standing on the jetty on the beach. I still can't get over how beautiful our pictures are and how perfect the day was captured.
When it comes to changing something about the day, I can honestly say I wouldn't change a single thing. I loved my dress, my jewelry, hair and makeup, the guys tuxes' and sneakers, the location, and every single vendor- when you hire the best, you get the best. However, I would add a vendor if I did it all over again- a videographer. I think being able to see a video of the entire day (even if only watched a handful of times) would bring our pictures to life.

For example, my little sister (14 years old at the time) was my maid of honor and gave the funniest, most animated speech I have ever seen! She made everyone laugh a LOT, cry a little, and then laugh some more. Some days I wish I could listen to her speech word for word because it was that good. During the planning stages, we decided we had to decide where to spend our money and what was most important to us. At the time, we thought there was no need to spend money on a videographer because we didn't think we would watch the video more than once. Now, almost two years later, I know we probably only would have watched a video a couple of times, but I still think it would be nice to have.

In the end, nothing will ever take away from our incredible day. Still to this day, I cannot find the words to adequately thank the vendors who were with us on our wedding day. Every single one of them helped to create our perfect day. There are just some days when I wish there was a videographer to add to that thank you list...

Hairstyle Inspiration for Long Haired Brides

Your wedding hairstyle is an important part of your big day, complementing your dress and your theme. Having long hair gives you so many options for your big day do!

Here are some ideas for long hairstyles and some thoughts to incorporate your theme and personality into your wedding hair.

One of my favorite weddings I have worked was for Danielle and Chris in Long Beach Island. They had a ceremony on the beach and Danielle had her hair half up, half down, fashioned with long curls. This was perfect for their outdoor beachside ceremony.

When it was time for the reception, Danielle changed her hair to a beautiful up do. Taking advantage of both the long curls and a more reserved up do.

Side curls are also beautiful and romantic for a wedding look and this is one of my personal favorites.

Another perfect idea, is to incorporate part of your theme into your hairstyle. Like our bride Katie did with a flower! This adds a pop of color to your look and personally incorporates your theme.

The classic French twist is also always a favorite for up do's. Here is one with a little twist and personality on it. This hairstyle goes great with a bird cage veil as well.

If you are looking for more of an elaborate up do, try this one. Your long locks allow this beautiful hairstyle creation to be set.

Long hair is great for up do's, but it can also create a very romantic style if left down as well. Hair accessories like clips or combs can bring out the detail in your dress with rhinestones, pearls, or lace. This is a great detail to incorporate in your hair.

When considering leaving your hair down, think about if your hair curls easily or holds well. This may have a part in deciding on and up do instead, so you don't have to worry about losing the curls and your hair falling flat.

A good compromise, might be like what our bride Danielle did, having two hairstyles for the day. Long flowing curls during the ceremony and a beautiful up do for the reception. (For my own dream wedding, I will be taking this approach as well).

Also, don't forget to have a trial run or two before your big day so the stylist knows exactly what you expect and how to do it.

You will be beautiful on your wedding day, and your hairstyle will only add to your beauty!
