Wedding Tip Wednesday

Fall is officially upon us, so for today's Wedding Tip Wednesday, I thought I'd look for fall-like centerpieces. Below are pictures from Once Wed and I really like the rustic, fall feel to them. There is a tutorial here if you are interested in replicating them. Or you can just use these pictures for inspiration! I love that the cylinder vases are wrapped in ribbon and yarn. If you'd still like some sort of flower in the centerpiece and want some color added as well, you could add some lovely fall flowers. And even if you can't find a piece of wood to go underneath, I think you could just go without and it would still look amazing! Its easy to forget that you don't always need flowers for your centerpieces, dressed up candles and even regular candles can look just as stunning.

Rehearsal Thursday

Trying to find gifts for your bridal party can prove to be a daunting task. With all of the work that your bridal party has put in leading up to your wedding day; you want to find the perfect gift. Most brides and grooms give their bridal party members gifts at the rehearsal dinner. So for this week's Rehearsal Thursday, I thought I would look for a gift for your bridesmaids. There are tons of wedding websites that sell personalized items for bridal parties; flasks, hoodies, totes and almost anything else you can think of. But have you ever thought of nail polish? Our friend Kristyn, from Shimmer & Spice, makes custom colored nail polish! You can take a swatch from your bridesmaids dresses and take it to Shimmer & Spice and Kristyn will make you nail polish on the spot; even naming the polish color after you! I think this would be a great gift for your girls, especially if you have a dress color that you is hard to match to a nail polish color. Who knows, it might even become their favorite polish to wear after the wedding! Below is a video of Kristyn making nail polish, check it out!

Teaser Tuesday

We had two great weddings over the weekend that were filled with some amazing details! The first was Laura and Rob's wedding at the Please Touch Museum! Laura and Rob were our Fall Contest winners and had so many great details incorporated into their wedding. We also got to work with a great team of professionals. Synergetic Sounds did a fabulous job with lighting the reception room and getting all of the guests onto the dance floor. They also had a carnival theme for the wedding, even naming their sweetheart table "The Freak Show"! We can't wait to blog their whole wedding and show off all of the unique touches, but for now, Jennifer Childress Photography sent us these teasers! Their ceremony was held in front of the carousel, how awesome is that! Thanks so much for the photos, Jenn!

Our second wedding of the weekend was coordinated by Danielle and was held at the Nassau Valley Vineyards. Allison and Shaun's wedding was wine themed. The had corks to hold the placecards and wine bottles with the table numbers on them. They also gave out engraved wine glasses as the favors! The colors for their wedding were purple and lime, which perfectly fits with a wine theme! Here's a few pictures Danielle took for us. Keep your eye on the blog for when we blog these weddings in their entirety!!

Must Have Monday

We have seen some really cute cake toppers in the past, so for today's Must Have Monday, I went over to Etsy and did some browsing! I think that a lot of the time, a topper for your wedding cake can be a last minute decision or it can just be an after thought. You have so many things on your to do list that a cake topper doesn't even register. Cake is extremely important, everyone looks at the cake, EVERYONE! There are tons of options that you can use to top your cake. Here are a few of my favorites and links so you can check them out.
This is a custom cake topper and the dress can be made to look just like your own! You can find this topper here.
I LOVE this one! This would look fabulous on an all white cake! You can find this topper here.
This is my favorite. The birds are so cute and come in a lot of colors and I love that the bride bird has a flower in her hair! You can find this one here.
This one is obviously not a topper but are you and your groom not the "cake smashing" type? You can feed each other with these forks! How cute are they?!? You can find them here.

Lea and Rob's Wedding

On Tuesday, we posted the teasers we took at Lea and Rob's wedding in Ocean City, New Jersey, that was held this past Sunday. This may be the fastest we have ever blogged a wedding. Brad Ross Photography sent us these amazing photos so quickly! He really captured Lea and Rob's fun personalities. Before the ceremony, Lea, Rob and their bridal party went to the Castaway Cove and rode on rides; such a fun idea for bridal party pictures! They held their ceremony and reception at the historic Flanders Hotel. They had a vintage beach theme for their wedding. Vintage postcards served as the table numbers and on the back of the placecards were miniature versions of the postcards. Their flowers, done by Primose Florist of Somers Point, NJ, were stunning. The centerpieces were different sized jars and vases that were wrapped in lace. The menus were light blue with copper script and we hand tied twine around the napkins and slipped on a quote tag. It was a simple touch that really finished off the vintage theme. The cake was made by the groom and was a stack of peanut butter cookies with fondant overtop! It smelled so good! Slippery Band got everyone out of their seats and kept them dancing all night long!

Congratulations Lea and Rob!

Johanna and Kevin's Wedding Invitations

Johanna and Kevin chose these eleagant emerald and black invitations for their special day. The ornate designs and touch of color make these invitations truly chic and stylish and one of our personal favorites.

Suzanne and Kenneth's Wedding Invitations

Suzanne and Kenneth's choice of navy blue and tangerine invitations is truly unique. The delicate paisley decal and vibrant tangerine give these invites a fun and sophisticated look.

Teaser Tuesday

Here are a few teaser pics that we took at the wedding we did Sunday at the beautiful Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, New Jersey. The weather wasn't perfect but Lea and Rob's wedding day was fantastic! They had a super cute vintage beach theme. The table numbers were actual vintage postcards from Ocean City and each placecard was a minature version of the postcard for their table! We displayed all of them in a bed of sand, along with flowers, a lantern, blue starfish and personalized buoy ornaments! Their menus were displayed in ivory napkins that were hand tied with twine and featured a tag with a quote about either love or food! So many great vintage beach details to this wedding, we can't wait to show you the rest!

Mia and Wyatt's Wedding

This July, Mia and Wyatt were married at St. Joseph's in Lancaster. They held their reception at Rock Ford Plantation. The weather was absolutely perfect for their wedding day! Everyone started the day off by getting ready at the Marriott in downtown Lancaster. Mia's friend Justine did all of the girls hair and they all looked beautiful! Vantage Pictures was there to capture the day and these are Jonathan's pictures below. He did a great job at capturing Mia and Wyatt's fun personalities! The stunning florals were provided by Wildflowers by Design and looked as if they were just plucked from a field of flowers. They were very natural looking and pretty. We were happy to provide all the adorable paper touches- like the seating chart, programs, and whoopie pie favor tags! The reception was catered by The Olde Greenfield Inn and the food was delicious. We loved their "guestbook" which was a hand painted tree. All of the guests were asked to leave their thumbprints on the tree as the leaves! So cute! It's Show Time had all of the guests on their feet dancing through the entire reception and Lavon Films was there to get it all on film. We can't wait to see their highlight video! A friend of Mia's family made their amazing cake-it was so tall! He made a dessert display made of all different types of pastries! They were a huge hit! We ended the night with a sparkler sendoff.

Congratulations Mia and Wyatt!!
