Gretchen and Sean's Wedding

Gretchen and Sean's wedding day was a long time coming! The couple has been married since their first daughter was born but they never had a big wedding with an awesome party- which made their big day even more special! Instead of choosing family and friends to be a part of their bridal party, the couple made the decision to have their 3 children- 2 daughters and a son- to stand with them and act as bridal party attendants- a great decision! Gretchen and the girls started their day with hair and makeup at Congress Hall and Sean and their son spent the morning hanging out. The girls wore white dresses to match their mom and their son wore a light colored suit to match his dad. The couple had a private first look with just the two of them. It was romantic and a perfect moment for them to spend some time alone. Joy Moody Photography captured all of the special moments perfectly! After their reveal, the couple and their children took a carriage ride from Congress Hall over to the church. One of the most memorable moments of their day was Sean escorting Gretchen down the aisle while they followed behind their children. The were pronounced husband and wife (again!) and headed back to Congress Hall with their guests for cocktail hour. The ballroom was decorated with silver lanterns in each of the windowsills and the centerpieces were different arrangements featuring silver crackle vases, branches with hanging candles, and candlesticks- lots of candlelight that added a warm touch to the room! The crew from Synergetic up lit the room and provided a monogram for the dance floor which completed the transformation of the ballroom. Some of the fun details at their wedding were the thumbprint tree guestbook and their candy buffet. This wasn't any old candy buffet! They chose candy that represented family members and provided fun props and information cards explaining the candy relation to each family member- to say it was a hit would be an understatement! The couple and their family were so happy all day long and we were so happy to help their dream wedding come true.
