With all of the wedding planning that has been on your mind, it's easy to forget the one thing that just might matter the most: a gift for your soon to be bride/groom. This day is all about the two of you after all, so giving a gift to your bride or groom either the morning of the wedding or the night before, at the rehearsal will assure the other that you're thinking of them.
Whether you save up and take the material route or whether you keep it simple and make it personal, any gift of any size will surely capture their attention and confirm what they hopefully knew all along- that they wouldn't want to be marrying anyone else but you.
In case all the planning has left you stumped, here are a few gift ideas that you can't go wrong with...
For Your Bride
- Philosophy Bridal Set: If you want to keep the price point down and just do a little something to tell her you're thinking about her, the Here Comes the Bride set from Philosophy is a sure bet. The kit includes everything she will need for the day including their facial cleanser, moisturizer, shampoo, bath and shower gel, and firming body emulsion, plus one microdelivery peel. If you want to bump it up a little, add in a spa gift card for two at your honeymoon destination.
- Pearl Necklace: Though this may seem a bit outdated, receiving a pearl necklace from the groom has been a long standing wedding tradition. Try to make it a little more modern and find something that is classic but definitely incorporates her personal style.
- Designer Handbag: If your girl likes the finer things in life, then spoiling her with a handbag that is out of her price range will make her feel like a princess, to put it simply. She will also have another excuse to think about you every day as she carries her bag on her arm.
- Ice Cream of the Month Club: Take a fun spin on what might be her favorite food and buy her enough ice cream to last the year! If it's something she likes she will love the thoughtful gesture and it will also give you more reasons to cuddle up on the couch with two spoons.
- Broadway Play or Concert: Instead of the usual nosebleed or lawn seats, do your research and find a play or concert you know she will love and try to get the best seats in the house. Back stage passes wouldn't hurt either! She will know that you thought about what she likes and were willing to go along with her even if you're not a fan.
For Your Groom
- Whiskey Stones: If you want to keep it simple and keep the dollars down, these whiskey stones are one of my favorite gifts for guys, especially those who love their whiskey. Pair it with some tumblers and his favorite bottle and you will be good to go.
- Personalized Watch: Another traditional wedding gift to the groom that can never really fail. If your man is the kind of guy who has a "watch collection", he won't be able to pass up another addition. If he's not a watch guy, it still might be the perfect first watch to add to his collection. Feel free to engrave it as well!
- Comic Book Picture: For the sci-fi groom who wants to relive his comic book glory days, this personalized comic book picture would be perfect for his office space or his future "man cave".
- Boudior Photo Shoot: What better way to get your guy excited then with his own personal photo album of just you in your unmentionables. Keep it cute or make it sexy, whichever way you go he will be looking at it daily in his dresser drawer.
- Racecar Ride: If he's not into whiskey, watches, or comic books, he must be into cars. Though this might cost you a pretty penny, there are many tracks that will allow your hubby to either ride along or take his own ride around the track. It will be a memory he will never forget.
