End of the Night Send-Offs

The night is over and you want to end it memorably. You want to make it exciting, something that your guests will talk about for years to come! There are quite a few things that you can do to include your guests in sending you off as a newlywed couple.

Sparklers
This is a really popular trend and they look absolutely fantastic in photographs. Guests also really enjoy them! If you plan to have this at the end of the night, make sure you get the 20" ones so that by the time the last guest is lighting theirs, the first is still lit. There are definitely a few things to consider when thinking about a sparkler send-off. The first being that you want to check with your venue to see if it is allowed. Some venues have rules against them for liability reasons. The second thing to think about is do you want all of your guests to line up for the send off. If you're having a large wedding and don't think that all of the guests will be able to line up quickly enough for the photographer after they've been celebrating all day, a great option is to just have the bridal party do the send off. Or even just your closest family members. This will make it more controlled and will make the photographs look less hectic!

Ribbon Wands or Glow Sticks
These are a great alternative if you can't have sparklers at your venue! They give the same sort of effect without being complicated. They also make for really cute photographs and you can personalize them with your wedding colors or names on the ribbons. To make a bigger impact on the pictures, make sure that the ribbon wands are long and have a few strands in different colors and for the glow sticks, get the long ones that bend, they'll be easily waved as make your way to your getaway car!

Bubbles or Flower Petals
While you usually see bubbles or flower petals as a ceremony send-off, they are a great option if you're getting married in the summer time and your wedding ends on the earlier side of the day.

A Special Song
You may not be the type of couple that wants a big, grand exit, so another way to end the night would be to pick a great song to be played as the last song of the night! A few popular selections are: "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, "Last Dance" by Donna Summer, "Closing Time" by Semisonic or "Time of My Life" from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. Think outside of the box and choose a song that fits you as a couple and it will be as great as a grand send-off!

Tasty Treats
A lot of couples are putting out tasty treats at the end of the night for their guests to take home or back to their hotel to munch on. This is such a great idea because most of the time, guests are hungry after dancing the night away! It's a nice thing to do and guests will really appreciate it. Most times, weddings end late into the night, so giving your guests something to snack on will make for an even more memorable wedding. Philadelphia is a great area to pick snacks from and can finish off a "Philadelphia Theme" wedding perfectly.

How ever you choose to end the night, remember to make it something both of you will enjoy as well. After all, the wedding day is about the two of you and your commitment to each other.
