Getting and Staying Healthy

You probably have a checklist of all of the things to do before your wedding day. Find a venue, order invitations, find a dress, and the list goes on. 

One thing to add to your checklist is to make sure you take care of yourself! You will want to be in tip-top shape physically, mentally, and emotionally for your big day. 

Here are some tips on how to get and stay healthy for your wedding day. 

Exercise
A lot of brides want to get fit and one their body for their wedding day. There are tons of options out there to get you into shape. Exercising is a great way to look and feel your best!

-Hit the gym or take a workout class. Zumba and kickboxing classes are a lot of fun and get your heart rate up. 
-Hire a trainer to create a program for you to help you tone specific areas and kick your butt into the best shape. 
-Sign up for a bridal boot camp. Check out your local gym for different programs. 
-Workout at home. There are tons of workout DVD's to help you get into shape. Try the 30 Day Shred, Buff Brides, or any workout DVD. 30 minutes of working out at home is better than nothing at all!
-Workout with your future hubby. Working out together is a lot easier when you have a partner. Hold each other accountable and you will be more likely to exercise more often. 
-Get outside! Walk the dog, go for a bike ride, or play frisbee with friends. All of these things will get your body moving. 

Healthy Diet
Good nutrition will help you feel great for your wedding day. Eating healthy doesn't necessarily mean dieting. A healthy and balanced diet is important for your well-being.

-Talk to your nutritionist to help you figure out a safe and healthy eating plan for you. 
-Eat more fruits and vegetables. 
-Cut back on sugars and junk food. 
-Check out your portion sizes. 
-Drink more water.
-Reduce alcohol consumption.

Take Care of Yourself
-Get some sleep. It's recommended to get eight hours of sleep each night. Being well rested can help you feel your best. 
-Eat. Your body needs proper nourishment to help fuel your body. 
-Stay germ free. Fight off germs by washing your hands or carrying hand sanitizer. No need to get sick before your big day!

De-Stress
Wedding planning can be stressful. You don't need to add more stress to your plate. Here are some ideas to help you relax and reduce stress before your big day.

-Take a yoga class.

-Relax with a massage.
-Curl up on the couch and watch a movie.

Your wedding is an important day. You want to feel as good as you look on that day!
