Katie and Dan are a fun couple who wanted their September wedding to be full of personal touches and make their guests think how their big day reflected the couple perfectly- and we think it did! Katie and her bridesmaids met at the salon for a morning of pampering while the guys hung out at Dan's parent's house. After the girls were all prettied up, they headed to Katie's parent's house to get dressed. The bridesmaids wore short chiffon dresses in butterscotch, cream, and toffee colors and chose a statement necklace of their own to stand out! They also wore fun cowboy boots to lend to the country theme of the wedding! Katie looked gorgeous in her white drop waist gown that featured a ruffled skirt and a rhinestone belt. She finished off her look with white leather cowboy boots that had rhinestones added. They were perfect for her! Guests filled in the seats at the quaint church that the couple was married in. Dan cried as he watched his bride walk down the aisle to him- it was adorable! After they were pronounced as husband and wife, the couple jumped in a vintage blue Chevelle, that had a "Just Married" sign hung from the back, and headed over to the reception for some pictures before the party started. The country theme was carried out perfectly at the reception. Guests were able to sit on hay bales during cocktail hour before heading into the tent. They found their table assignments written on cowboy silhouettes and their silverware was placed in a mason jar at their seats! Instead of a traditional champagne toast, the couple chose to have a "milk toast" with mini milk cartons since Dan's family owns a dairy farm- such a great personal touch. The cake was a huge hit with everyone! It looked like a cow with black spots all over and the chocolate tier featured a cookies and cream icing. It was delicious! Rain started to come down once everyone was in the tent but that didn't put a damper on the evening. The band ROCKED the night away and had everyone up on their feet dancing.
Congratulations Katie and Dan!
