Justin's 40th Surprise Birthday Party

When our former bride, Tricia, reached out to us to help her plan her husband's surprise 40th birthday party, we jumped at the chance! You might remember the baby shower we helped plan for Tricia last year and we LOVE any excuse to see our former brides and grooms. Tricia and Justin love music from the 90s so we built the party around that. Guests entered "Club Costello" at the Northampton Valley Country Club and went back in time! We created the centerpieces but using blue cassette tapes, built into a cylinder, to go over the vases. We used small blue lights inside of the vases which made the centerpieces glow once the sun set! All of the stationery was based off of the invitation we created that was blue and white striped with a record in the middle. The birthday cake looked (and tasted!) amazing! Tricia gave Truly Custom Cakery a few of Justin's favorite things and they came up with the incredible cake- all of the guests loved it and couldn't stop talking about it. The party was a complete surprise to Justin- he was shocked when he walked in the room! After mingling and eating the delicious dinner, everyone cut loose on the dance floor to a set of strictly 90s music, provided by Joe Moser of DJ's Available. It was a great party and we were so happy to be a part of it! Happy birthday Justin!

Kaleigh and Katelyn's Sweet 16

Kaleigh and Katelyn are best friends who have birthdays that are close together and when we met with them, they told us they wanted a hot pink and black party. So we created "Kaleigh and Katelyn's Sweet Shoppe" theme just for them! We started with a black petal fold invitation and the party information was next to their custom logo and backed with hot pink paper. And we included pop rocks with each one! All of the paper and signage for the party was created by Paper by Proud and followed their theme perfectly! Hot pink tableclothes provided by Select Event Rentals were topped with our black candelabras for each of the guest tables and really transformed the room. 

When party guests arrived at Salem County Sportsmen Club, they were greeted with this sign welcoming them to the sweet shoppe! A photobooth provided by Go Festive was a HUGE hit! There was always someone getting their picture taken!

There were four stations set up throughout the room: Cookies & Milk, Signature Drink Station (pink lemonade!), Candy Buffet and the Patissere Station! Here's the set up for the Cookies & Milk station. We made the pom pom's and put up fabric behind the wall to really make it pop! There were five different kinds of cookies and guests were able to enjoy chocolate and strawberry milk. Later in the night, we brought out ice cream cups and push ice cream pops! 

This was the drink station that served the signature drink of pink lemonade! There was also customized Jones soda, complete with their logo, on each side of the table. 

SO many goodies at the candy buffet station! Cotton candy, pixie sticks, strawberry puffs, tootsie rolls, candy  jewelry, hershey kisses and a ton of other sugary goodness! You name it, this candy buffet had it. We also had Ro's Rods make the prettiest pretzel/candy rods! 

The Patissere Station was made a focal point by putting a large logo in a gorgeous black frame. This table had  cupcakes and cake made by Sweetsboro Bakery and were delicious! The cake pops and cake balls were made by Erin and were a huge hit! Who doesn't like cake in bite size form? I know I do!!

Tristan from Synergetic Sounds and Lighting, up lit the entire room in hot pink and was the DJ for the night. The dance floor was packed all night long and had a few dance offs! He did a great job keeping the music selection young for the guests.

Teaser Tuesday

We had Sarah and Carmen's wedding at the beautiful Laurita Winery on Friday. While the weather wasn't the greatest, the clouds parted just in time for their reveal and huge rainbows were in the sky. Conroy Catering's staff was excellent to work with, as always, and the food was delicious! Sarah used lots of vintage touches for their wedding and their centerpieces consisted of vintage ball jars and baby food jars wrapped in twine, fabric and burlap. Carmen's mother made adorable table runners and centerpiece circles out of fabric that matched their invitations. Thankfully the rain held off and the bridal party was able to get pictures taken in the vineyard! A big thank you to Jennifer Childress Photography for sending us these teasers! They are stunning!

Kaleigh and Katelyn's Sweet 16 was held at Salem County Sportsmen's Club on Saturday. The theme for their party was Sweet Shoppe and there were plenty of sweets for all of their guests! We had several stations set up around the room; a candy buffet, milk and cookie station, patisserie display and a bar that served pink lemonade. We created all of the signage for these displays and also made their invitations. Tristan, from Synergetic Sounds and Lighting, up lit the entire room in hot pink and DJ'ed the party for us. The dance floor was packed all night long and their guests loved the photobooth that was provided by Go Festive!
