Karen and Joe's Wedding

Karen and Joe were another one of our couples from last year that were married on Labor Day Weekend. It was gorgeous (and hot!) day for this fun loving couple. The ladies spent the morning being pampered with hair and makeup before getting in their dresses. Karen looked great in her corseted gown and you never would have guessed that she had just gave birth to the couple's daughter, just four weeks earlier! The bridesmaids wore short gray chiffon dresses to match the wedding's color scheme. After putting on the finishing touches, they headed out to meet the guys so that Karen and Joe could do their first look. They then went around the city for fun pictures before heading to the church to make things official! Their traditional ceremony was conducted by a friend of Joe's who is a Priest. This made for a really personal ceremony! After they kissed and became Mr. & Mrs., they and their guests headed over to their cocktail hour and were greeted with tons of food and a lot of delicious cocktails. Guests found their table assignments with fortune cookies that acted one of their favors. One of the details we loved about this wedding was their vellum votive place cards. Not only were they another favor for guests, but they added extra decor to the tables and complemented the lantern centerpieces. The newlyweds shared a choreographed first dance to "Laendler" from The Sound of Music and their guests (and us!) really enjoyed it! Guests also enjoyed a photo station that had fantastic props like Mickey & Minnie Mouse hands since Karen loves all things Disney! This was a huge dancing group and they packed the dance floor. On their way out, guests were treated to Funfetti Cake in jar, baked by the bride.

Congratulations Karen and Joe!

Lauren and Demetri's Wedding

Lauren and Demetri were married last June in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony in front of their loving family and friends. Lauren and her bridesmaids spent the morning in a suite at the Hotel du Pont being pampered with hair and makeup before getting dressed for the big day. The bridesmaids wore lovely floor length navy blue dresses to match the color scheme of the wedding. Lauren's dress was a gorgeous ivory Enzoani ballgown that fit her like a glove and she couldn't have looked more stunning! The couple saw each other for the first time as Lauren walked down the aisle and after being pronounced husband and wife, they headed to Gilbraltar Gardens for photos with their bridal party. While they were out for their photos, we were making this amazing wedding come to life! The wedding had a classic elegance feeling to it and we had a lot of fun adding in some really great details. Beautiful navy linens were placed on the guest tables and to make their sweetheart table stand out, they chose a gorgeous textured ivory linen. The couple's florist, Meg from Sweet Peas, did an incredible job matching the color scheme with purple, blue, pink, and green flowers on the tables! After guests enjoyed their dinners, they headed out to the dance floor for some dancing. As a favor to their guests, the couple chose to have a candy buffet, which is always a huge hit with everyone!

Congratulations Lauren and Demetri!
