Emily and Joe were our last wedding of the 2012 season and what a gorgeous wedding it was! On a brisk day in November they said their I Do's at St. John the Evangelist in front of their family and friends in a ceremony that was officiated by Joe's dad. Before heading over to the church, Emily and her bridesmaids spent the morning in their suite being pampered with hair and makeup. When hair and makeup was set, it was time to get dressed! The bridesmaids wore black floor length gowns in all different styles. Emily's gown was an Amsale gown with an asymmetrical neckline. It was a beautifully simple gown and had one of my favorite features- pockets! After their traditional Catholic ceremony, the newlyweds and their bridal party headed into the city for pictures before heading over to the Loews to join their guests for cocktail hour on the 33rd floor. Guests enjoyed live music from a few members of the band while taking in amazing views of the city! Meanwhile, we were prepping the ballroom with all the final details. Guests signed a book of the couple's engagement photos that we had set on a table with wedding photos from the couple's families. I love this at weddings since it is a nice way to honor parents and grandparents! The ballroom was set with a variation of high and low floral arrangements and were then pinspotted. Their wedding cake was fashioned after the bride's gown and since Joe doesn't like cake, Emily surprised him with his favorite dessert- pie! He was so surprised! The couple also surprised their 3 grandfathers with a special cake and sung Happy Birthday to all of them, who all have birthdays around the same time as the wedding. When guests weren't getting down on the dance floor, they were in the photobooth, taking fun pictures to share with the bride and groom. Such a fun wedding and a great way to end last year's season!
Congratulations Emily and Joe!
