Mary Ellen's Baby Shower

We were so excited to have a hand in planning a baby shower for our wonderful friends, Mary Ellen and Steven. They are a hilariously fun couple and their child is already a welcomed addition to our fiesty crew! I'm sure he'll be a handful before we know it. ;)
The parents-to-be are very eco-friendly and want to raise their child in an organic environment. The bedding they chose for the nursery inspired the look of the entire event!
The towel cake was a gift from an extremely creative guest!
What a good job!!
Sweets to You...by Ginger did an excellent job matching our invites and the strawberry-shortcake inside is incredibly delicious!
oreo truffles... MAKE THEM! NOW!
(you can thank me later)
another way to keep "green" was to do a display shower; plus, bonus!- no hours unwrapping in front of an audience = more time to enjoy visiting with guests!!
Nonna Ristorante in Newark was the perfect location and the menu they put together was great!
Instead of typical shower games, we did an activity! At each table were markers, stickers, scrapbooking paper and cut-out features from the proud parents' baby pictures.
Guests were asked to use the features to "Build A Baby" to see what the new arrival would look like!
they make cute kids, 'eh?
The guests then compiled their baby pages into a scrapbook guestbook! It was really fun and had everyone participating and chatting with one another! What a way to break the ice!!
Fortunately, their real baby, Joseph Bradley, looks nothing like predicted.... he's WAY cuter :)
Welcome to the world, JB! We love you!!!
