Katie and Jake's wedding went perfectly- it was a great day! The bride and groom had a sweet "first look" at Longwood Gardens, then we headed to St. Mary's of the Assumption in Hockessin for the ceremony conducted by Father Darcy. Following the ceremony, we had an awesome reception at The Patio at Archmere Academy. This space is so unique and even held special significance to the bride- she is an Archmere graduate! J. Scott Catering wow'd the guests with the delicious food and they thoroughly enjoyed Philadelphia Funk Authority because the dancefloor was packed all night! The wedding reception had a cooking theme- the tables were named for spices, the favors were spiced lollipops in assorted flavors, and the card box was a custom made silver cooking pot! Honeybunches Floral Design accented the decor with vibrant arrangements and gorgeous bouquets. Many special thanks to Ben and Sean from Barnyard Photography for this gorgeous teaser photo! We can't wait to blog the rest!!
Rachel and Jon were married on Saturday at Springton Manor Farm in Glenmoore, PA. Their heartfelt ceremony was performed by Andy Mahaney, The Wedding Pastor, in a small garden at the park. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the property- complete with a game of baggo, which was a huge hit! When it was time for the reception, they headed into the tent and sat at long dinner tables topped with burlap runners, arrangements placed in copper pots, and birch table numbers; making Rachel's vision for the wedding come to life. Rachel and her mother started collecting vintage dinner plates a year before the wedding and guests were able to enjoy their meal off of them. It was a really personal touch and certain guests even got specific plates that were special to them! A delicious menu created by Brandywine Prime was served and the guests (and us!) were raving at how great it was. Thank you to Doug from Douglas Benedict Photography for sending over this image! We can't wait to show off all of the great details and personal touches that were incorporated into this fantastic wedding!
