2008 has been a whirlwind of weddings! When I started this business, I never thought it would be as successful as it has become. I've been blessed to work with the best couples in the world, who have been more like friends, than clients. I'm so fortunate that they choose me to pull off the happiest day of their lives! I'm privy to the last deep breath before a bride walks down the aisle, the tears when a groom sees his bride for the first time, the laughter on the dance floor. These images of happiness are what makes all the work worthwile. I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me the opportunity to do what I love!
I've also been lucky to have worked with some of the Philadelphia area's finest wedding vendors, making tons of friends along the way! Whether the emotions run a little too high or the heavens open up and the rain starts pouring, I am thankful I have reliable professionals in my corner to keep their cool and laugh it off with me! We have had so many fun adventures while onsite and I thank my lucky stars every time I see I'll be working with them in the future! Because they do their job so well, it makes my job that much easier!!! So, thanks everybody...you know who you are :)
On the same note, I am very thankful that these professionals recognize that Proud To Plan is doing a great job!!! This position can be a thankless one, so when a respected colleague goes out of their way to hire you, refer you or post kind words about your services, it's quite a compliment!!! This might be a shameless plug, but a few blog posts made about PTP recently really had me smiling and I wanted to share!

Again, because wedding professionals can be extremely critical, I take those words as HUGE compliments!! I am so appreciative to have my work respected by people I respect so highly!
Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I think about how things have snowballed the way they have!! When I started this business, I never thought it would take on a life of it's own. I've worked really hard, but I've had A LOT of help! So, thank you to all the people that have given advice, helped me network, gave referrals, shared stories!
All in all, I'm just really thankful I get to do something I love and get to share it with people I love. Work is not "work" to me- it's unforgettable moments. I am lucky to have had an amazing 2008...but am looking forward to an even bigger, better 2009!
Happy Thanksgiving :)
