Anneliese and Michael

Anneliese and Michael were married at the beautiful Congress Hall in Cape May in November. Their wedding was an amazing one, with every detail well thought-out and executed perfectly. I was so excited to see everything come together- it's easy to see why this wedding is one of my favorites! These photos (which I think belong on the pages of magazines!) were provided by Spark Photography. Kevin & Joy have outdone themselves AGAIN- they are fabulous!!!

STUNNING!

The ceremony was set up in a section of the ballroom and the Herb Moore Duo entertained guests with music from the Beatles- they were great!

Cocktail Hour took place downstairs in "The Boiler Room" jazz club

The ballroom looked phenomenal- the uplighting by Synergetic Sounds was a great touch!
The florals by Manic Botanic FAR exceeded any expectations we had- they were AMAZING and worked great with the wrought iron candlelabras and black & white damask linens.
I am really proud of how the room turned out..... even the sweetheart table looked terrific!

Anna and Michael performed an awesome routine to Bobby Darin's "Beyond the Sea" - they did a great job!
The photobooth by Festive Fotobooths was a hit and the guests loved the idea!
Dancing Shoes were necessary because The Philly Funk kept everyone on their feet!
The place was ROCKIN' and the guests had a blast!!!
The cake was so pretty, we didn't want to cut it!!!

Proud's Pretties :)
My staff- Jaci & Krista- and I being nerds!

I also want to give a quick shout out to Nick with Well Spun Weddings, who shot the video that I KNOW is going to be phenomenal... he was great to work with and I cant wait to see the finished product! Update: Here it IS!!!!

Anna and Michael...I wish you a lifetime of bliss!!! (and wine....lots and lots of wine!)

What I'm Thankful For!

Like every year, I'm thankful for the health and happiness of my family and friends, thankful for the puppy kisses and kitty snuggles I get dozens of times a day, thankful for a roof over my head and food in my belly.....but this year, I am especially thankful for my job.

2008 has been a whirlwind of weddings! When I started this business, I never thought it would be as successful as it has become. I've been blessed to work with the best couples in the world, who have been more like friends, than clients. I'm so fortunate that they choose me to pull off the happiest day of their lives! I'm privy to the last deep breath before a bride walks down the aisle, the tears when a groom sees his bride for the first time, the laughter on the dance floor. These images of happiness are what makes all the work worthwile. I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me the opportunity to do what I love!

I've also been lucky to have worked with some of the Philadelphia area's finest wedding vendors, making tons of friends along the way! Whether the emotions run a little too high or the heavens open up and the rain starts pouring, I am thankful I have reliable professionals in my corner to keep their cool and laugh it off with me! We have had so many fun adventures while onsite and I thank my lucky stars every time I see I'll be working with them in the future! Because they do their job so well, it makes my job that much easier!!! So, thanks everybody...you know who you are :)

On the same note, I am very thankful that these professionals recognize that Proud To Plan is doing a great job!!! This position can be a thankless one, so when a respected colleague goes out of their way to hire you, refer you or post kind words about your services, it's quite a compliment!!! This might be a shameless plug, but a few blog posts made about PTP recently really had me smiling and I wanted to share!
Kamila Harris' Blog
Kenneth Stillman's Blog
Jennifer Childress' Blog
Again, because wedding professionals can be extremely critical, I take those words as HUGE compliments!! I am so appreciative to have my work respected by people I respect so highly!

Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I think about how things have snowballed the way they have!! When I started this business, I never thought it would take on a life of it's own. I've worked really hard, but I've had A LOT of help! So, thank you to all the people that have given advice, helped me network, gave referrals, shared stories!
Thank you to my staff-Danielle, Krista, Jaci and Lisa-you girls have done a phenomenal job and I'm so excited to have given you this opportunity, because you all have FAR exceeded any expectations I had! I feel so confident that PTP will continue to grow because of what you contribute! You're the best!!

But, I have to give the biggest thanks to my husband, TJ.... without you, I wouldn't have ANY of this! You've done sooooooo much work, offered so many suggestions, given so much support. I owe you ENORMOUSLY for helping me make my dreams come true!!

All in all, I'm just really thankful I get to do something I love and get to share it with people I love. Work is not "work" to me- it's unforgettable moments. I am lucky to have had an amazing 2008...but am looking forward to an even bigger, better 2009!

Happy Thanksgiving :)

Katie and Mike's Wedding

Katie and Mike had a gorgeous wedding! The ceremony at United Methodist of Bala Cynwyd was warm and beautiful- especially nice because of the storm that was happening outside! But the wind acted in our favor for these edgy photographs at the train station! The reception followed at the Hilton City Line and was an AMAZING party! DJ Steve Croce of Silver Sound had the dance floor absolutely packed and a fabulous time was had by all! Soooo many thank yous to Jeff of Bluei Pictures for these images! He was fantastic to work with and the images are stunning!

All the paper goods were done to coordinate with the gorgeous invites we made for the couple! I especially love the pic below because it shows that we did half the programs in sapphire with sage touches and the other half in sage with sapphire touches.... I love creating a mix and match look to create consistency rather than going totally matchy matchy!
