Types of Wedding Programs

When it comes to deciding on programs for your wedding ceremony, there are a number of things to consider- how much information you have to share, the time of year, your overall theme/style, etc. If you're having an outdoor ceremony in the summer, a fan program would fit wonderfully, but if you're planning a long ceremony with a large bridal party, you may not have enough room to fit all of the information- so in that case you might want to do a traditional booklet program and set a basket of fans next to it, your guests will thank you.

You can do a simple one page program like this one below. It tells guests what they need to know in a simple and compact way.

There are also lots of variations on traditional programs. Instead of a rectangular one try a square one.

You can carry your color scheme over to your programs and make them as simple or customized as you'd like. Here are two rectangular booklets. This one is upgraded to a cardstock cover with the monogram on the outside.

Same as above but this one is a bit simpler and does not have a cover.

One of my favorite types right now is a vertical, layered program, bound at the top. Each layer is longer than the one above it, so your guests can easily flip through. And you can even label each page on the bottom so guests know what information they're flipping to.

Regardless of what style you choose, be sure to to share all of the important information- who's who in the bridal party, breakdown of the ceremony, any prayers you'd like to share, etc. I also think it's nice to include a thank you to your family and guests, as well as an acknowledgment of loved ones who are no longer with you.

Kristen and Steve's Wedding

Kristen and Steve were married in early June at The Inn at Penn in Philadelphia. We had a great time working with their staff, they were on top of everything and were really fun to work with. Their wonderful ceremony was performed by The Wedding Pastor, Andy Mahaney, and had so many personal touches. Brittany from Petals Lane created all of the floral decor and lined the aisle in candles. The bouquets were absolutely stunning and all of the guests were wowed with the centerpieces that matched their color scheme perfectly! To follow their color scheme of pink and black, we created their programs and their reception signage. Synergetic Sound and Lighting kept all of the guests dancing all night and also up lit the reception room with pink, projected a custom gobo on the dancefloor and pin spotted the centerpieces. The room looked incredible! Guests enjoyed a photo booth provided by Go Festive and got to treat themselves to a huge candy buffet. A big thank you to Mike Landis for these beautiful images!

Congratulations Kristen and Steve!

Traci and Mik's Wedding

Traci and Mik were married in March at Spring Mill Country Club. It was a bit chilly (and windy) but they were able to take advantage of the abundant sun and get some fantastic pictures! The day started with hair done by Jill Kozar of Up Your Do and makeup done by Dylan Michael Cosmetics. Petals Lane created the stunning bouquets and centerpieces, which matched the color scheme of lavender and royal blue perfectly. Their ceremony was filled with personal touches and was conducted by The Wedding Pastor, Andy Mahaney. Joe from DJ's Available was on to get the party going and get everyone on the dance floor, while PerSempre Videos caught all of the fun! We created their placecards which were attached to ferraro rocher candies and we also created their menus, programs, table numbers and candy buffet signage. Guests got to enjoy not only a candy buffet but a photobooth provided by Go Festive! Bredenbeck's Bakery made the delicious cake and the night ended with a sparkler send off! A big thank you to Sharyn Frenkel Photography for sending us these beautiful images!

Congratulations Traci and Mik!
