Megan and Jamil's Wedding

Megan and Jamil were married on last May on Memorial Day weekend, outside of the Goodstay Center and held their reception at Waterfall Banquet Center. Megan and her bridesmaids begun the day with hair and makeup done by the ladies from Gloss Salon. Keeping their color scheme of silver and different shades of purple in mind, we got started on their pocketfold invitation. From there we created their ceremony programs, table numbers and other various signage for their reception. The natural beauty of the grounds at the Goodstay Center made for a great ceremony. Megan's bouquet was a combination of lavender and white roses and white stephanotis with touches of green throughout. Celebrations Design Group did a fantastic job with all of the bouquets and centerpieces. The centerpieces perfectly complimented the pewter pintuck linens that were on the tables and Synergetic Sound and Lighting placed pinspots on all of the tables really making them stand out! They also up lit the room in a purple shade, provided the couple's monogram for the dance floor and the plasmas screens that showed a slideshow of the couple. Matt from Synergetic was their DJ for the evening and had all of the guests out of their seats and on the dance floor. The Master's Baker created their wedding cake and Megan surprised Jamil with a groom's cake made by Liz Marden. A big thank to you to Clair Pruett for sending us these wonderful images!

Congratulations Megan and Jamil!

Unique Place Card Ideas

I had a lot of fun making the place cards for my wedding, but if I could do it again, I’d be a bit more creative.   I did traditional, tented cards and jazzed them up with a few layers of paper and a patterned border.  They were pretty, but there are so many unique ways to tell your guests where to sit.

I love this idea from Martha Stewart for an outdoor wedding. It’s a refreshing way to direct your guests to their seats, and a fun way to showcase a signature cocktail.

For a fall or winter wedding, these votives would make a wonderful addition. With these, guests would know where to sit, and be adding to the fullness of your centerpieces.  Also, if you’re worried about using real candles, you could always substitute flameless tea lights.

These are super cute and another great way to extend your centerpieces.

I absolutely love the idea of using “trees” to display seating cards. For a fall wedding you could put them in pots and use leaves as the actual cards.  For the winter you could do bare branches and use crystal or beaded snowflakes as the cards.  Talk about making a statement and setting the mood from the beginning of the night.

If you’re having your wedding at a vineyard or winery, or you’re just a wine enthusiast, incorporating wine corks into your seating cards is a great touch.

If you like the more traditional tented cards, but you want to kick them up a notch, try displaying them in a bed of flowers or wheat grass.

Traci and Mik's Wedding

Traci and Mik were married in March at Spring Mill Country Club. It was a bit chilly (and windy) but they were able to take advantage of the abundant sun and get some fantastic pictures! The day started with hair done by Jill Kozar of Up Your Do and makeup done by Dylan Michael Cosmetics. Petals Lane created the stunning bouquets and centerpieces, which matched the color scheme of lavender and royal blue perfectly. Their ceremony was filled with personal touches and was conducted by The Wedding Pastor, Andy Mahaney. Joe from DJ's Available was on to get the party going and get everyone on the dance floor, while PerSempre Videos caught all of the fun! We created their placecards which were attached to ferraro rocher candies and we also created their menus, programs, table numbers and candy buffet signage. Guests got to enjoy not only a candy buffet but a photobooth provided by Go Festive! Bredenbeck's Bakery made the delicious cake and the night ended with a sparkler send off! A big thank you to Sharyn Frenkel Photography for sending us these beautiful images!

Congratulations Traci and Mik!
