Saturday was such an amazing day. It wasn't just because the day ran smoothly, or the vendor team was amazing, or the weather was perfect, or the details were spot on, it was also because Kristen and Michael were such a fun couple and we loved being a part of their wedding day. Proud to Plan has been "part of the family" since we helped plan Michael's brother Chris' wedding, and his sister Kate's wedding, so we were excited to be back with this great family again. The day started with hair and makeup at Luxe Lancaster before the girls headed over to the Firehouse at Landis Valley Museum to get dressed. Sean Gearhart from Charm City Piper played the bagpipes as guests entered the ceremony in the courtyard and as the bridal party walked down the aisle. After their self-uniting ceremony, complete with friends reading marriage advice, guests enjoyed lawn games during cocktail hour. They then entered the yellow barn for the reception catered by Harvey's Bar-B-Q with music by Rick from Top Hat Entertainment. The barn was decorated with twinkle lights and rustic wooden box centerpieces and single blooms in vases from Splint's and Daisies along with gold spray painted pumpkins, gourds, and pinecones made by the bride and groom. For dessert, College Town Bakeries set up a delicious display of five different cakes, homemade pumpkin roll, and cookies. The day was beautifully captured by the oh-so-talented Christina and Brian from Shaw Photography Co. who were such a joy to work with. The pair made a six hour trek from down from Buffalo for the wedding and as you can see, these images are well worth it. Congratulations Kristen and Michael! -Caitlin
A perfect fall day for Lauren and Mark's wedding in Macungie, PA! Lauren and her maids started the day at her parent's home with hair by True Beauty Marks and makeup by Face the Occasion before everyone slipped into their dresses. Lauren and Mark saw each other for the first time as Lauren made her way down the aisle of St. Joseph's Church. They took their family photos at the church after the ceremony before heading to Brookside Country Club for bridal party photos. The country club created a delicious menu for cocktail hour and the couple chose a fall themed signature cocktail that they named "Over the Moon"- everyone couldn't get enough of it! Wesley Works up lit the ballroom in a warm amber and handled the music for the evening. The dance floor was PACKED all night long and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The bouquets and centerpieces were created by Allium Floral Design and matched the simple and neutral color scheme perfectly. Jonathan McBride from Alison Conklin Photography was on hand to capture all of the day's special moments and we can't wait to share his images with you all! For now, here are a few of our iPhone pictures that we took. Congratulations Lauren and Mark! -Lisa

Brittany and Zack's Wedding

Brittany and Zack's fun filled, relaxing wedding was held last November in Delaware at Greenville Country Club. The ladies started their day relaxing at the club with hair and makeup. The bridesmaids wore black strapless hi-low dresses with a statement necklace that Brittany herself chose for each of the girls! Sucha great idea for a bridesmaid gift. Brittany wore a lace appliqued Watters gown and chose a simple necklace and chic high bun to complete her wedding day look. They chose to have a intimate first look with just the two of them and Zack was so excited to see his bride! After stealing a few kisses, they headed off to join their bridal party for photos. They used the sprawling grounds of the country club to take some fun photos and even pulled some furniture from inside to use as props. The fellas didn't wear traditional boutonnieres, and instead wore pocketsquares, while Zack wore a bow tie, to stand out from the rest of the guys. They kept their ceremony decor simple and let the greenery do most of the talking. We lined the aisle with black lanterns and were able to use them as reception decor after the ceremony finished up. The reception tent had a ceiling wash to add a small bit of color and the centerpieces were pinspotted, to make sure they popped in the space! The couple rented a cool black and white dance floor for a different look and it looked perfect in the tent! Tables were topped with black damask linens and we placed our clear glass pedestal stands in the center. We then put the birch candle holders that the bride had collected leading up to the wedding and mixed in baby's breath- it looked awesome! After guests found their seating arrangements on the escort card table, we turned the table in the S'Mores favor display. It was a huge hit with all of the guests and they were able to enjoy the S'Mores at a fun fire pit that was set up. Perfect for a cool November night! Another great detail that had everyone talking, was their wedding cake. They chose to have 5 smaller cakes with all different designs and were set up on wood slabs made of birch. Such a flawless day for this awesome couple!

Congratulations Brittany and Zack!

Friday was a gorgeous day for Rachel and Jack's wedding. They started their day by getting ready at the Sheraton Suites Wilmington. Their traditional, Catholic ceremony was held at Holy Rosary Church. Guests then headed to the newly renovated Waterfall Banquet Center for a delicious cocktail hour followed by dinner. Belak Flowers did a beautiful job of transforming the room. Rachel got the party started when she did a set with her band. Steve from Silver Sound kept the party going all night! They even extended the reception by an hour because the dance floor was so packed! Guests were treated to a cake from Sweets to You by Ginger and a fantastic candy buffet. JPG Photography and Flanagan Productions were on hand to capture all of the night's memories. The night ended with a spectacular sparkler sendoff! Congratulations Rachel and Jack! -Jen
Kim and Chris were married on Saturday in Delanco, New Jersey on the Delaware River. Kim's parents own a riverfront property and they used it as the site for their ceremony. Kim arrived to the ceremony on a horse drawn carriage provided by Uptown Pleasure Carriages. They were married in a personal ceremony that featured a solo sung by the bride's friend- it was a beautiful touch! The reception was held at Glen Foerd Mansion in their brand new tent. The tables in the tent were a mix of rectangle, square, and round tables adding some uniqueness to the space! The bride's mother spent months leading up to the wedding collecting cute and vintage looking vases and vessels to hold the florals created by Nancy from Wegman's. After a delicious dinner from Jamie Hollander Catering, the guests cut loose on the dance floor to the music spun by Matt from Synergetic Sound and Lighting. It was a picture perfect day from start to finish and we can't wait to see the images from the bride's uncle, Frank Barbera Photography! Congratulations Kim and Chris! -Lisa

The rain gods were on our side on Saturday, as sprinkles seemed to be part just in time for Arianne and Rick's wedding at the beautiful Holly Hedge Estate in New Hope, PA. In the morning, Daneene Jensen & Associates worked their magic on the ladies while they got ready at 1740 House, a sister property of Holly Hedge. Then it was off to the outdoor ceremony where Judge Linda Carpenter officiated. The bride walked down the aisle to her cousin playing Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" on the guitar and the couple asked a bridesmaid and groomsman share their love story to guests. The reception room was decorated with centerpieces by Brittany from Petals Lane and Synergetic Sound & Lighting lined the dance floor with string lights. After dinner, guests danced along with Onyx from Philly Event Group and took breaks from the dance floor to get photos in a Wilmington Photo Booth. Then it was off to dessert as guests satisfied their sweet tooth by eating "Arianne's Favorite Things" at the homemade cookie bar (with eight different types of cookies) and later at the ice cream bar (with toppings galore). The men on the other hand enjoyed "Rick's Favorite Things" at the scotch and cigar bar. Rich and Noah from Tweed Weddings caught all the lovely moments on film while Becka from Pill Photography captured these gorgeous photos. We are counting down the days until we can see the rest! -Caitlin

Saturday's weather was touch and go for a while, but the sun was shining when Allison and Danny's garden ceremony took place! We were so lucky to have the gorgeous grounds of Winterthur as a backdrop, but then add the amazing floral designs from Honeybunches, and the awesome lighting from Synergetic Sound and Lighting, and you've got a fairytale wedding come true! Allison and Danny's guests enjoyed dancing to music by Matt from Synergetic and they loved the yummy cake from Master's Baker. AFR handled our lounge furniture rentals and New Milford Productions caught the whole day on video. Many thanks to Mike and Jana from mkPhoto for taking some gorgeous photos and, as always, being so fabulous and fun to work with! Congratulations to Allison and Danny! -Erin

Anna and Josh's Wedding

Anna and Josh were married in September at the DuPont Country Club in Delaware. This fun loving couple wanted their guests to have a great time at their classic but FUN wedding! Anna wore a gorgeous off white A-Line gown that had a beaded belt to add a bit of sparkle and even had pockets! She accessorized her gown with a simple pearl necklace, a flower for her hair and simple veil. The bridesmaids wore long chiffon clover green dresses to match the green, pink, and white color scheme for the wedding. The Hotel DuPont made the perfect backdrop for the couple's romantic first look before they met up with their bridal party for photos. The ceremony was held outside and they let the grounds act as most of the decoration, just adding two altar pieces to pull in a little more color. Their ceremony was performed by a father of one of the groomsmen who flew in from Texas, making their ceremony special and personal! Inside the ballroom, floral arrangements in pink, green, and white, topped the tables. The taller arrangements were filled with green apples to add an extra pop of the color green to the room! Guests' tables were named after the couple's favorite restaurants. Mantles and fireplaces were decorated with candles to add warmth to the country club. They chose to do thumbprint tree guestbook instead of a traditional guestbook, and as usual, it was a huge hit! Anna's father surprised the newlyweds with a framed Chinese double happiness symbol and guests were checking it out all night. They cut into their 3 tiered cake which featured ruffles on the bottom and two tiers of silver swirly piping!

Congratulations Anna and Josh!
