Ashley and Ryan's Wedding

Ashley and Ryan were married on a gorgeous day in October. They planned their traditional and classic wedding from Ohio, where they both reside. Ashley and her bridesmaids spent the morning at the salon getting their hair and makeup done before heading over to Cairnwood to get dressed. The bridesmaids beautiful red sweetheart neckline chiffon gowns were perfect for this fall themed affair! To add to the classic look, the groomsmen wore black tuxes with bow ties. Ashley's gown was a Pnina Tornai satin ruched gown that looked incredible on her! She chose to wear her hair down and swept off the side for a more glamorous look. The couple saw each other for the first time as Ashley walked towards Ryan in the church. After their traditional Catholic ceremony, the couple walked out of the church to the bubble send off, which made for some great photos! They then headed over to Cairnwood for photos with their bridal party. They used the sprawling grounds at the estate to get some great and fun photos! Upon guests arrival, they were greeted with a signature cocktail before heading in to enjoy a delicious food filled cocktail hour. Table assignments were placed in a frame that doubled as a favor and were placed around an arrangement filled with manzanita branches. For a fun fall touch, white pumpkins were placed on the cocktail tables as decoration. When it came time for the couple's first dance as husband and wife, we asked for guests to fill the Great Hall and watch the newlyweds romantic first dance. The couple wanted their guests to remember how much fun the reception was so the night was filled with lots of dancing. When guests weren't dancing, they were able to jump in the photo booth for a fun pictures! Check out the awesome highlight video from our friends at Tweed Weddings at the very end of this post!

Teaser Tuesday

Nicole and Sean were married this past Saturday and celebrated their marriage with a beautiful and fun filled reception at The Liberty House. The girls started the day with hair and makeup at Blowout Bar, while the guys got ready at the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City. Being very family oriented, Nicole chose to redesign her mother's wedding gown and wear it- it looked AMAZING! The lovely ceremony conducted by Father Matthew was held at the Seton Hall University Chapel, where the couple went to college and met. We were hoping the rain would hold off but it started some time during the ceremony and continued afterwards but even a little rain couldn't stop this day from being any less awesome. The bridal party and immediate family headed over for photos before guests arrived for the reception. The rain tapered off right around the beginning of cocktail hour, letting guests enjoy the stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. Guests enjoyed dessert before dinner with delicious Crumbs Bake Shop cupcakes which served as their escort cards. Karma Flowers created beautiful purple floral arrangements that incorporated lanterns, branches, and many candles that created a perfect romantic setting. The new Mr & Mrs were introduced into the reception with the Seton Hall Pirate and their college friends were so excited to see the mascot there! Carlo's Bakery of Cake Boss fame created a yummy 4-tier cake with all different flavors. Since Nicole is a New York Giants fan and Sean is a Philadelphia native who loves the Eagles and the Phillies more than anything, Nicole had a close friend make a surprise groom's cake that looked like the Philly Phanatic! DJ Frank, a friend of the groom, had the dance floor packed all night, while Coldstone Creamery offered guests ice cream during dessert. Lynda Bailey Videography captured all of the fun on video including the surprise flash mob that Nicole's sister and best friend both choreographed- the couple was so surprised! A huge thank you to Maggie from Maggie McGill Photography for sending us these teasers- we can't wait to see the rest and share them! It was a wonderful and unforgettable night and we were so happy to be a part of it! -Amanda

Laura and Mark's Wedding

Laura and Mark were married last September in front of the family and closest friends. Laura and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready and getting dressed at her parent's house. The bridesmaids wore short fitted black dresses with yellow shoes and a yellow flower in their hair! A perfect little pop of color to match the wedding's color scheme. Laura's dress was a stunner with beading and intricate fabric flowers on the bodice and it fit Laura like a glove! Laura and Mark's traditional Catholic ceremony was personalized by their Priest when he spoke about how the couple met and fell in love. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their bridal party headed over to The Old Mill for photos before cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour that was filled with tons of food and drinks. The couple even treated their guests to a cigar and whiskey bar during cocktail hour- it was a huge hit! Tables were topped with gray pintuck linens and yellow napkins were placed at each setting. Instead of traditional table numbers, they put bottles of wine in burlap sacks that had the table number printed on them. Dinner was served family style and guests were treated to a root beer float station that was filled with different types of soda. The couple chose to forgo the traditional wedding cake and got a small cake and cupcakes for everyone! Everyone danced the night away and had a great time. As the party winded down and guests headed home, they walked the pathway that was lit with lanterns. This was done in memory of Laura's brother who passed away a few years earlier. A beautiful tribute at the end of an incredible day.
