Weddings by Color {Purple}

Do you love purple? Are you thinking about color scheme options for your wedding? Purple offers different hues to fit whichever them you are going for and personally, it's my favorite!

From lavender to plum, utilizing the different shades of purple can add texture and variation to your event from beginning to end.

From invitations to the cake, from chair covers to table linens, shades of purple can add a regal or rustic feel to your day.

One of the things I love about purple is the ability to match it with varying color schemes, like purple and gray, purple and white, purple and yellow, or purple and green. The options are endless! Here a few popular combinations.

Weddings by Color {Navy Blue}

One of the most popular wedding colors I have seen this summer and fall is navy. It's a great color for all seasons and can coordinate with a ton of other colors. Try navy with a pop of color with pink, coral, green, or yellow. Navy also looks so classic with silver and white.

Here are some pictures to inspire you for your navy wedding!

Weddings by Color {Emerald}

My all time favorite color has always been green; in fact, I'm wearing green jeans as I write this blog. I just so happen to be a May baby too, making my birthstone emerald. So, when Pantone listed Emerald green as the 2013 "color of the year", you bet I was totally on board. Even though 2013 only has a few months left, this color is sure to stay around for some time, so don't be afraid to showcase it in your 2014 wedding.

Though any green colors are always a great fit for a wedding, this specific emerald green is the perfect match for wedding decor, not quite too dark to be hunter green and not too bright to seem lime green, it's the perfect compromise and makes a great complement to any other wedding color...except maybe red.

Here are a few ways you can incorporate my favorite color (and hopefully yours) into your wedding day:

The exact Pantone color: Emerald #17-5641...

If you ask me, too much green can never be enough, but you also don't want to overdo it, so choose wisely!

Weddings by Color {Mint}

Shades of green are popping up everywhere right now. Emerald, pistachio, and mint are some of the hottest colors of the season. I'm going to focus on mint colors for this post.

Mint is such a pretty and fun color to incorporate into your wedding color scheme. Mint can be paired with peach, pink/coral, and gold. Also try matching it with orange/tangerine or black for a nice contrast. Here are some ideas on how to include mint colors in your wedding.
