Today, we'll be finding out some of the plans for another of our March couples, Kate and Mike. Let's see what they have planned for their wedding!

How did you and your fiancé meet?: NYC circa 2005 – standing in line waiting to enter a Bill Clinton fundraiser.

Tell us about the proposal: Mike proposed on the balcony of our hotel room in Aruba on New Years Eve. He made security at NY LaGuardia airport search my bags so I wouldn’t accidentally see the ring go through security.

What is the overall theme of your wedding? Do you have an inspiration board you’d like to share?: We don’t really have a theme but if I had to describe the wedding it I’d say timeless, elegant and classic with a sprinkle of modern (if that’s possible).

What has been your favorite part of planning?: drooling over wedding blogs and sending links to Mike in emails with subject lines like “need,” “want,” and “can we, please?”

What has been your fiancé’s favorite part of the planning?: Everything except writing checks.

What are you looking forward to most on the wedding day?: Seeing our friends and family, and how all of our planning came together.

What is your fiancé most looking forward to on the wedding day?: Seeing me in my dress (it’s a closely guarded secret).

Which vendor has been your favorite to work with?: Erin and Lisa, obvi.

What is your biggest worry about the wedding day?: crying during the ceremony-- I’m a total mush despite the tough exterior.

Give three words to describe what you imagine you’ll feel like the day AFTER the wedding: Happy, tired and married!

Where will you be spending your honeymoon?: Australia!

Nicole and Ronald's Wedding

Nicole and Ronald were married in December at Old Saint Joe's Church in Philadelphia. Their classic reception held was held at the Sheraton Society Hill. For Nicole and her bridesmaids, the day started with hair, done by Hair by Meghan and makeup, done by Aleksandra. We handled all of their stationery; invitations, out of town bag labels, ceremony programs, seating chart, table numbers, favor tags and other reception signage. Their color scheme consisted of mostly black and red and Il Fiore Bianco did a fabulous job with the centerpieces and personal flowers. Synergetic Sounds and Lighting provided the lighting for the ballroom and it was gorgeous! They had red uplighting and their monogram on the dance floor surrounded by snowflakes. Perfect for their winter wedding. Groove Place did an amazing job with getting guests out of their seats and on to the dance floor! Bredenbeck's Bakery created the couple's delicious cake. 2011 Lucky Him Contest

In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, we’ve decided our next contest is all about showing the guys how lucky they are to have such beautiful women in their lives.

This month, one lucky lady will win a May 8th spot in Jennifer Childress’ Boudoir Marathon. Valued at $550, this one-hour session includes a private location for the photo shoot, hair and make-up to make you look your sexiest, and a 30 page album the man in your life will surely LOVE. To qualify for entry, ladies need to email us (info@proudtoplan.com) their sexiest self-portrait between now and Friday, March 11th at 10pm. (They must be non-professional pics and PLEASE keep them PG-rated!) On Monday morning, March 14th, we’ll publish a facebook album of all the entries, and the contest voting will officially begin!

It's a facebook contest based on votes. There are no rules and you can vote for as many photos as you like.

To vote, you must first "LIKE" Proud to Plan on facebook. Here's a direct link: www.facebook.com/proudtoplan and click the "LIKE" button next to our company name to become a friend.

Visit our photo album "2011 Lucky Him Contest" and find your favorite photo. "LIKE" the photo to cast a vote. Comments are fantastic but will not count as votes. Posting to the Proud to Plan wall will also not count as a vote. Only "LIKES" registered on the photo will count as a vote.

There are no rules. Do what you need to get votes- tag the photo, solicit votes from friends, vote from multiple accounts, post on your own walls. Whatever it takes! Please, keep it clean…. Any mean-spirited comments will mean immediate disqualification.

The contest will run until 10pm on Wednesday, March 16th. Whatever photo has the most "LIKES" wins. The winners will be announced upon the “official count” and we’ll reach out to the winner to redeem their prize.

Featured Bride Friday

Welcome to our very first Featured Bride Friday! We told you earlier this week that we had a few new weekly blog topics and this is one of them. We'll be chatting with our brides of that month and seeing what they have planned for their big day! First up is one of our March brides, Traci. Let's find out more about her and her fiance, Miki, and their wedding at the end of this month!

How did you and your fiancé meet?: We met through a mutual friend, our best man Vinnie.

Tell us about the proposal: He proposed in a bakery with a cake that said “Will you marry me, Traci?”

What is the overall theme of your wedding? Do you have an inspiration board you’d like to share?: I don’t have a theme really, I do love swirls so they are incorporated here and there. My colors are lavender and royal blue.

What has been your favorite part of planning?: Picking all of the details. I really loved picking out the florist and photog. They are my favorite vendors, besides Erin ;)

What has been your fiancé’s favorite part of the planning?: LOL yea ok…. I planned the big show

What are you looking forward to most on the wedding day?: walking down the aisle…

What is your fiancé most looking forward to on the wedding day?: wow I have no idea!

Which vendor has been your favorite to work with?: Florist and photog and my DOC

What is your biggest worry about the wedding day?: that I will forget something major but that can’t happen now that I have Erin thinking about things for me.

What makes your wedding unique from all the others?: All of the different touches. I have unique escort cards, they are rocher candies. And my invites are coasters! So that was unique too.

Give three words to describe what you imagine you’ll feel like the day AFTER the wedding: relieved, happy, and amazed how fast the day went.

Where will you be spending your honeymoon?: Fiji!!

Must Have Monday

Good morning everyone! After a break, we're bringing back our weekly blog topics and adding a few new and exciting ones! I was doing my weekly Etsy browse and came across these four items that I wanted to share.

First up are these adorable champagne glasses. One of our weddings last year, Nell and Scott to be exact, had very similar toasting flutes. These would make for a perfect picture. You can find them here.

She has variations of the glass tags and wooden hearts you could use as chair signs! Here's a great twist on champagne glasses! They are hand painted with branches and can be customized with your colors! I think these would be perfect for a winter wedding or a fall wedding where the seller can add leaves. Erin and Rob's Wedding

Erin and Rob's wedding was in December at Valley Forge Military Academy and College. Their ceremony was held at Alumni Memorial Chapel and the reception was in the Eisenhower Hall. Erin and Rob chose a vintage glam theme for their wedding, so instead of bouquets, Erin's bridesmaids carried black fans! We did their reception paper; buffet menus, bar menus, table numbers and dessert display signs. All of the paper used their color scheme of black, red and white. We also provided their reception decor. We used our damask table runners, candelabras and candle holders on their tables. Green Meadows Florist provided the personal flowers and small arrangements to finish off the tables. The room was completely transformed after Synergetic Sounds and Lighting put all of the red uplighting and the amber dance floor wash in place! Joe from No Macarena kept the dance floor packed all night long and Valley Creek Productions was on hand to capture everything on film. Their adorable cake was made by Isgro's and was topped with a custom made cake topper! Guests were treated to a signature drink of spiked rum and enjoyed a pie bar complete with chess pie, which was a homage to Erin's southern roots. A big thanks to Joe Capasso Photography for sending us these beautiful images!
