Teaser Tuesday

Saturday, Christina and Drew were married and the day couldn't have been more beautiful! This couple is special to me because I was lucky enough to coordinate weddings for both of the bride's cousin/co-matrons of honor, and their family has always been one of my favorites! They are an absolute BLAST! The day started with hair and makeup at the bride's house, while the guys got ready at the Stockton Seaview. Jack Mazzeo Studios was on hand to capture the day beautifully, I got to see a few teasers and they were awesome! Although we hit an early snafu with a M.I.A. videographer, after a few calls, Tom from Alliance Studios and Brian from Bri-Video jumped in to get the day on film and didn't miss a beat. The ceremony was held at St. Joe's in Hammonton and the celebrant, a close family friend, Father Joseph Capella, arranged a mass that was so personal and unique! The bride's 2nd grade students were even called to the altar and were SO excited to be there- adorable! After the "hooray flag" sendoff, we headed to The Bayview Ballroom at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club, by way of Great American Trolley. The room looked spectacular thanks to the gorgeous florals by Ellie Wedding Designs and paper decor by Just Be Studio- tons of sweet pink and green gingham details everywhere! With Mark from Synergetic Sound and Lighting spinning, the dancefloor was packed from the first song to the last. He and Rob also handled the beautiful uplighting and custom monogram we projected behind the sweetheart table- it looked great! One of my favorite moments of the night was during intros- the ring bearers walked out to the Imperial March, wearing Star Wars masks and wielding light sabers- they were so into it and the "fight" they had was hilarious! The couple had such a great time celebrating at the reception, but the festivities didn't end there. They arranged for an after party in the hotel bar with karaoke, a burger and fries bar, pizza and a lot more fun! It was such a pleasure to be a part of this wedding day, and I wish a lifetime of love and laughter to Kiki and Drew. Teaser Tuesday

What a weekend we had! Lonni and Josh were married on Sunday in a traditional Jewish ceremony at the stunning One Atlantic in Atlantic City! This couple is so in love with each other and they had some of the most touching toasts given to them during the reception. Everyone around them- friends and family- showed the couple how much they love them! During cocktail hour, guests were able to enjoy the remarkable views from the lobby and then moved into the ballroom for dinner. The theme for their wedding was "beach chic" and Manic Botanic did an incredible job matching this theme. The Huppah was gorgeous, the bouquets were fresh and lush, and the centerpieces fit perfectly into the theme. Nafshenu kept the dance floor packed all night and did a amazing job for the Hora. You can see my iPhone video of part of the Hora below. It's definitely not professional, but you can get a vibe of what it was like in the ballroom! We can't wait to show you this wedding in it's entirety soon, but for now, you can see this beautiful picture of the couple, taken by Pete from 217 Photography. 

Annemarie's Wedding

Jimmy and I were married Saturday, November 26, 2011- Thanksgiving weekend. Although many people would steer clear of a holiday weekend when planning their wedding, we decided it would be best since so many of our family and friends had to travel. Since he was a kid, Jimmy spent his summers in Sea Isle City, NJ and I began to do the same thing when we started dating. We have made so many friends and great memories in Sea Isle that we decided that we wanted all of our wedding guests to join us there in creating another amazing memory. 

We traveled down to Sea Isle with our immediate families at the beginning of the week and spent the Thanksgiving holiday there as well. Sea Isle is not your typical shore town with a bunch of hotels, instead the island is made up of houses for rent. We decided to rent houses for our guests to stay at throughout the weekend. One of the rented houses was right on the beach with the most beautiful view of the ocean. This is where my bridesmaids and I got ready for the wedding. We started early in the morning getting our hair and then makeup done by Nina from Cheekadee. The bridesmaids wore long black dresses of their choice. I had decided long ago that I wanted my bridesmaids to be comfortable, so they all picked different style dresses and looked absolutely beautiful the day of the wedding. I wore a strapless gown by Allure Bridal.

Erin and Lisa, from Proud to Plan, showed up shortly after to help coordinate the day. Once we were all dressed, the bridal party and our mothers lined up on the beach to watch Jimmy and I during our reveal meeting. Jenn and Joey, of Jennifer Childress Photography, captured all of our beautiful pictures from the day and one of my favorites is of Jimmy when he first saw me. 

After the reveal, we made our way to the Abbie Holmes Estate where our ceremony and reception were held. Our ceremony was performed by The Wedding Pastor, Andy Mahaney. My little sister read a short poem by Shel Silverstein called "The Romance". A few years ago, I read the poem and thought it was hysterical and gave a copy of it to Jimmy. It was Jimmy's idea to include it in our ceremony. Our ceremony was held outside of the Abbie Holmes Estate under their gazebo. Afterwards, we joined our guests for cocktail hour inside the Estate. 

Our reception started with Jason from Synergetic Sound and Lighting introducing the bridal party. Shortly after, guests enjoyed dinner which was a selection of flounder, pork, and manicotti, served family style. Our cake was made by The Cake Studio of Ocean City, NJ. The entire weekend was more than we ever dreamed. After the reception, we asked all of our guests to join us at the Dead Dog Saloon to continue the party, which we did until the bar closed.

The next morning, we asked our family and friends to join us one last time for breakfast at a small breakfast place called Rick's. I decided that wearing my wedding gown for only one day wasn't enough, so I put my dress back on and went to breakfast!

As a full-time event planner, the coordination of the day was an essential part of the success of our wedding, which is why we relied on Erin and Lisa from Proud to Plan. They paid attention to the details of the day so we could spend our day celebrating and enjoying one another. Our wedding would not have been so perfect if it weren't for all of the vendors we worked with, but a special thank you goes to Erin and Lisa.

Tiffany and Len's Wedding

Tiffany and Len were married in April at All Saints Episcopal Church, followed by their reception at Salero in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Tiffany and her ladies started their day at Hotel Rehoboth with hair and makeup done by Made Ya Look- they looked beautiful and their hair stayed in place all night! After exchanging vows and becoming husband and wife, the newlyweds and their bridal party took off for some pictures. I LOVE the silver and coral color scheme for this wedding. It's completely perfect for a spring, beach themed wedding! When guests arrived for the reception, they found their escort cards on sea shells and then sat at tables named after places the couple had traveled to! South Pacific Florist did an wonderful job with the bouquets and centerpieces- they matched the color scheme and beach theme exactly! Mike, from All-Tune DJ, got the partied started and kept it going all night long and Buerhaus Design was on hand to capture all the fun. Sweet 'Art created their 4 tier classic wedding cake that was simply topped with a single peony. Thank you to Rob Korb Photography for sending us these super fun pictures!!

Annemarie and Jimmy's Wedding

Here is one of our favorite weddings from last year! One of our own coordinators, Annemarie and Jimmy, one of Erin's oldest friends, were married in November at the Abbie Holmes Estate in Sea Isle, New Jersey.  We got lucky with really mild weather for November and we were able to do their reveal meeting right on the beach! Annemarie and her bridesmaids started their day at a huge beachfront property where they got ready. Nina from Cheekadee did an amazing job with everyone's makeup. Annemarie had her bridesmaids pick their own black dresses and they all looked fabulous! With their color scheme of black and purple in mind, we created their invitations, ceremony programs, seating chart, table numbers, chair signs, and banded menus that wrapped around the napkins and silverware. It was the first time we did them and they were really unique and we can't wait to do them again! The Wedding Pastor, Andy Mahaney, officiated their ceremony which happened at sunset under the pergola outside of the Estate. Everyone enjoyed a delicious cocktail hour and family style reception which was created and prepared by Xenia Catering. Manic Botanic did a phenomenal job with the bouquets and other personal flowers. Annemarie's cascading bouquet filled with orchid of white and purple was simply stunning! Jason from Synergetic Sound and Lighting got the party started and kept everyone on the dance floor until the very last song! Their black and white cake was created by The Cake Studio of Ocean City and was adorned with swirls. A big thank you to Jennifer Childress Photography for these incredible images! She really captured all of the fun that was had and all of the love that was in the room!

Congratulations Annemarie and Jimmy! We wish you both nothing but happiness for years to come!!
