City Themed Hotel Bags

If you have reserved a block of rooms at a hotel for your wedding guests, a nice gesture is to have hotel bags to welcome them upon check-in! This is an easy project and adds a personal touch to thank your guests. Below are some things to include in your hotel bags.
  • 2 bottles of water
  • Something sweet
  • Something salty
  • Mini packages of Advil, Tylenol, Tums
  • Any pertinent information for the weekend of the wedding (shuttle information, brunch invite, etc.)
  • Local information if you have several guests that are from out of town
Here are some ideas for your hotel bags if you are having your wedding in any of these areas.

Philadelphia

Tastykakes: You really can't go wrong with this sweet treat. There are a variety of options, from butterscotch krimpets, to peanut butter kandykakes to cupcakes!
Herr's Potato Chips: A classic Philadelphia snack!
Peanut Chews: A candy treat that has been around since the early 1900s!
Visit Philly's website is a great tool if you are looking to include some local information for your guests.

Ocean City, New Jersey
Johnson's Popcorn: This is a famous spot on the boardwalk. Delicious caramel popcorn awaits your guests if you include this treat! Here is a link to their website where you can order smaller, favor size containers, perfect for a hotel bag.
Salt Water Taffy: When you think of the shore, you think of salt water taffy!
Fudge: Another great sweet treat from the shore!
Check out this website that could be helpful in planning an Ocean City New Jersey wedding!

Take this project as an opportunity to show off the location where you are getting married!

Stacey and Matt's Wedding

Stacey and Matt were married in August down the shore! We LOVE this family! We did Stacey's sister's, Amy, wedding in 2008 and were so excited to be doing another wedding within this awesome family. If you'd like to see Amy's wedding, you can go here. Stacey and Matt were married in a traditional Catholic ceremony and after they were pronounced husband and wife, they headed to the shore for bridal party pictures. Just look at the sun shining in these pictures! What a beautiful day for this couple! After some formal shots the couple went to boardwalk and took some really fun portraits together. While all of that was going on, we were busy bees at The Flanders Hotel tying sashes on chairs and adding the final touches to the ballroom. Stacey rented a bunch of our candles and we decorated the mantle with them. The centerpieces were so pretty- lots of blush pink and lavendar colored flowers! After dinner, dancing kicked off and guests go to enjoy a photo booth set up by Stacey's friends in the dessert room. It was filled with a lot of fun props and guests were in line all night long. The dessert room also featured a midnight snack table that was filled with boardwalk themed food for guests to take home with them! It was a great day from start to finish for this wonderful couple!

Congratulations Stacey and Matt!
