Rehearsal Thursday

Trying to find gifts for your bridal party can prove to be a daunting task. With all of the work that your bridal party has put in leading up to your wedding day; you want to find the perfect gift. Most brides and grooms give their bridal party members gifts at the rehearsal dinner. So for this week's Rehearsal Thursday, I thought I would look for a gift for your bridesmaids. There are tons of wedding websites that sell personalized items for bridal parties; flasks, hoodies, totes and almost anything else you can think of. But have you ever thought of nail polish? Our friend Kristyn, from Shimmer & Spice, makes custom colored nail polish! You can take a swatch from your bridesmaids dresses and take it to Shimmer & Spice and Kristyn will make you nail polish on the spot; even naming the polish color after you! I think this would be a great gift for your girls, especially if you have a dress color that you is hard to match to a nail polish color. Rehearsal Thursday

Picking a location for your rehearsal can sometimes be difficult. If your future in-laws are paying, you may not have much of a say in the location. But if you are paying (or have the option of picking the place) there are a ton of great restaurants to hold your rehearsal. Today I'm talking about a different kind of place to have your rehearsal...
I can't think of anything more fun than going to a rehearsal dinner where I can eat, drink, hang out with family and the bridal party AND bowl! This is definitely a different type of place for a rehearsal dinner. But if you don't want a formal sit down dinner and like the idea of a lounge atmosphere, Lucky Strike would be perfect! They do have a dress code, so everyone would still have to look their best. If you are looking for a non-traditional, FUN rehearsal dinner, Lucky Strike in Philadelphia might be your ideal location!

A few Thursdays a month we'll be blogging about everything that has to do with your wedding rehearsal, what to wear, a cool place to hold the rehearsal dinner and tips on how to make the rehearsal run smoothly. This week I found these super cute dresses that I think would be perfect for a rehearsal.
The dress is from Anthropologie, another one of my favorite stores, and looks like a skirt and shirt. I think that this dress is perfect for a rehearsal dinner held in the city and you could definitely wear this again! You could even dress it up with a colorful necklace to make it more fun! This second dress is from Banana Republic and I think is a little more formal. They have it dressed up with a belt which is really fun. This can definitely be worn again. You can buy this dress here.
